We're just getting this out before farmers can get back in their fields later this month. I shot the growing season from planting to harvest last year in Illinois with Martin Williams for Syngenta.

Knock Inc's Arbor day tree art contest planted 2011 trees. Thanks to your votes my piece took the top spot, planting 641 trees, 1/3 of the total! Follow this link to see all 140 submissions.

Day 7 of #30daysofbiking. 12 mile commute into work again this morning and I'm already starting to act like my biking brethren; hand gestures, muttering under my breath, at least for the two cars that nearly hit me. It's all perspective I guess.

Follow this link to weheARTtrees.org, "like" some tree art, and KNOCK will plant a tree on Arbor day. Tweet it, share it and go green. Here's the piece I submitted.

Of course this shot doesn't fully represent Artcrank, but it covers a couple of bases.

30 days of biking kinda kicked my ass today. A little more than twelve miles each way. It'll be a nice way to build a base for this summer's Tour De Pepin ride we're planning.

1 Day to Artcrank! Today's artist. Last, but certainly not least - Zara Gonzalez Hoang
Zara Gonzalez Hoang is a designer and illustrator based in Minneapolis, MN and a previous Artcrank contributor. She's enamored with monsters, shiny things, and the internet.
"I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life but at the moment I'm happily designing and illustrating things for people. I run a teeny tiny studio called twistcone where I work for all sorts of interesting agencies and clients. In my spare time I draw monsters on post it notes.

Well that's it. It's been fun getting to know the 41 artists of Artcrank 2011! Thanks for following along! There are 841 confirmed guests on Facebook so far, and a lot to do before we open the doors tomorrow at 5PM. So I'm going to begin my 30daysofbiking with my commute to the studio and get to work. See you there!
